These are pictures of my recently (mostly) completed 1:400 IJN aircraft carrier "Hiryu". This kit was taken fom the old 1:300 GPM kit that was extensively recolored and redesigned...planes were from "Trotskiy" design...recolored and reduced...Barry these can be viewed at high defination so your "old eyes" (and mine) can see them:p

This is one sweet build, Bob. How about the Akagi and Kaga with their triple flight decks forward for your next effort?
 I love the little planes. YOu and Barry do great work on those gems.Carl

My current projects...Destroyers!!!
GB I'm working on destroyers....and would like to build the DD "Sims" and then the Fletcher class DD...I would also like to design the accompanying "Butler " class DE to add to these important historic ships:p...I have the old model of JSC "Akagi" and have that on my build schedule (it will need some extensive updating- needs to have a redo of the deck, ect) to mate up with the "Hiryu"..I think that these are the only ones available (also have the Zuikaku and the Shokaku)...but there are no models of the Kaga or the Soryu in paper that I know of...I don't have the technical skills to take on such a project...but I'll stay busy ...I also have some of the other Japanese carriers to include the Shinano (quite a project)
 ...so I'll stay busy

Well, Fletchers are more than worthy. And the DEs too. They aren't at all well enough represented AFAIC. If you're scanning the JSC Akagi anyway you could just add in the extra decks right?

Akagi was published by FlyModel., JSC published Zuiho (in addition to Shinano).
There is also Junyo from Answer.
