I'm not a ship builder............... but could you glue a layer of long narrow strips along the entire length of the frame for support.............. kinda like lathes on a wall to support the plaster.
I know it will add an additional thickness to the hull so I guess the hull plates probably won't fit. |

looking good, thanks for posting the build sequences,I bought the model but have not started to build yet (other projects to complete)---with regard to the"starved horse"effect on the lower hulls,I have tried using foam blocks fitted between the frames then sanded to shape followed by a coat of filler sanded down---still not perfect yet so still working at it.

Right on! More crew members! I'm re-building the hull (Thankfully I have a little leg up) as my plating looked like 'poop'. That was said nicely in trying to keep with a pg-13 rating I should be back to where I was by this evening and we can resume this thing. I am wondering if I can't join up some of the center plates before gluing them down as they are essentially straight rectangles. I'm grasping at straws! In reality the hull probably looked a lot worse than what we try to portray but I just want it to look *fine*
