Are the wood bits glued on at this point? Or do you paint before gluing?

Gave the area a bit of a paint, to show up any problems. Doesn't look too bad. Might end up giving the whole boat a coat of grey. Rather than detail port holes and any deck markings. Depends how I feel. Tim |

Been a while since my last post on this build.
Have started to add all the hull platforms Next stage is to add the gangways and strat builing up the AA guns. Tried to add some detail / colour to the aircraft. Used paintbrush, didn't work out. Tim |

Gangways are all built up:
At 1:700 scale its a bit difficult to put too much detail into the AA guns. Have opted for the simple approach of a wood dowel with a hole drilled through. A bit of wire stuck in then a card shield. Don't think it looks too bad. Tim |

looks pretty good for 1/700. most photoetched small aa guns for plastic ships aren't much more than that either

Tim, did you finish this one? Any final pics? I'm thinking of taking it on, maybe doubling scale to 1/350.
