GPM USS Missouri BB 63

i started this a while back and am still working on it. I used balsa wood for the center frame to help prevent warping.

Continuing superstructure. A very neat model as it comes together.

Wow. You are making rapid progress.

No, seriously, how long has it taken you to get to this point? Looking to be very solid construction. Color me envious

An airplane takes a few weeks, THIS..........months! I started a month and a half ago approx. getting to smaller parts now which seem to take longer.

I love watching these big old battleships coming together. I truly admire the way you guys can build these things from a kit without having to putty or paint over your mistakes like I did the first time I built a ship.

One of the things that satisfied me the most after building my destoyer a few years back was how all those little parts and subassemblies come together to give you a fantastic looking model at the end of the build, I still look at mine to this day and think "wow... i made that".

It's builds like this that inspire me to take on an even bigger ship one day and maybe even try to do it without relying on putty and paint. Thanks for sharing and congrats on a fine looking build so far.

Slow compared to building an aircraft, but you are moving quite fast for a ship project. Particularly one this size. There are a lot of guns to make for this one.
Nice work.
