Thanks for the info Kazziga. I will look for the books that you mentioned above. I see what you mean about the width in particualar, as well as the wheel housings.

I have been playing around with Googles Sketch up and making 3-d models of even simple iems is a lot harder then it looks, so for now I am totally dependent on all of these brave publishers for models! One day I would like to make some boats from start to finish, but it will not happen any time soon.

ct ertz, I am always happy to help. Bob Holcombe's work was not published as a book it was his M.A. Thesis. However, it's probably possible to obtain it through your local library (as an interlibrary loan).

I understand your pain as far as designing is concerned. That is why I am willing to help the designers interested in making models of CSN warships (well, any 19th century warships, especially those of the lesser known navies).

Hi,
I have a lot of plans of USCW ironclads, mainly A4 or A3 plans size. I first started collecting plans about 30 years ago as well as some huge and horrid basic plans I got from somewhere in America.
Get back to me with a list of what plans you are looking for - who knows, perhaps I will be able to add a few - like Spyuten Dyvil
