Work slowly trudging along. Basic structure of forward house and after house complete along with forward and after SG-4 fire control radars. Main DP 5" mounts next with deck furniture and details to go. Edges colored with artists watercolors mixed to an approx match. I'm learning along the way and will have better results with Gambier Bay or Portland on the next project.

Some more work....still slow. Fwd/aft houses still to be attached along with main DP 5" mounts. Lotsa edge painting still to be done. More deck details/furniture next followed by 20 and 40mm mounts plus railings.
Although the fotos do not show it well (much more to go on the 5 " mounts), the use of watercolors on the edges work great. To paraphrase the Duke from the film of the same quote..."She's a fast ship, going in harm's way" |
