Hello!!
Some time has passed, several trips kept me away from the EGV, but recently I had time to restart.
In December I had left the parts of the outer walls and the transom cut out; they are now glued together to form seven main parts: two for the center, two for the bow, two for the stern (not pictured here) and the transom. As in the inner walls, the portholes are realized with transparent foil.

But the months away also gave me a wild idea: what about putting lights inside the model? The plan has some challenges and I don't know how far I will go with it, but for now I started with the lights behind the outer walls. These are relatively easy, since are concealed within the hull and I can use bulky LEDs. Lights on the upper levels will require smaller LEDs and more precise assembly. Let's see.

The assembly of the outer walls begins with the transom (fig. 1) and continues with the central lateral parts (fig. 2 - 4) and the after ones (fig. 5 - 7).

Finally the two parts at the bow complete the outer walls; this last step was a bit tricky, but I am satisfied with the result.

Wow Tommaso. You're making up for lost time! Everything looks good and the lights could really turn out to be that extra something that ups your model to the next level.

Hi all, thanks for the appreciation. I'm happy to be back on the model and will report about the progress in the next days. I've just started playing with the lights for the superstructures, I think I have found the proper way of handling them

@Beachead, the hull is 70cm long and 10cm wide. When finished, the height should be around 15cm.
