So much more detailed than anything I've done... That's damned impressive!

Don't worry about the "one bad cut and ooops" thing.

Think of it as removing all the bits of card that don't look like cranes and catapults, and you'll be okay.

Hello Mike,
This type of crane & catapult can really make a project look good.
I hope these work out.

Lancer...took your advice although, to be honest, I dispatched more card than I should have...then had to do a careful gluing job to get things back in shape.

Don, Michael and Longbow...thanks for the encouragement. Once in awhile, I get the feeling that things are not going well and having your comments helps me move forward.

Made some progress. However, first I realized that I had misplaced, lost, thrown out (how could that happen with my "neat" work table) the grillage for the second funnel!! So, using the one I had as a model , I made my own and added it to the remaining funnel. Sometimes I make things difficult on myself.

Also, a photo of the catapult almost completed.

The last photo is my first crane, three sides of the four completed. The open side is the starboard side if that can be seen in the photo.

Lost a week of modeling for traveling to 2 granddaughter high school graduations. Well worth it...lots of family time.

Progress has been made. Finished the cranes and added the cranes, catapult and smaller armament to the hull. Finished the rangefinder and added that to the superstructure.

Still a few complicated pieces left to do.

Hello Mike,
The cranes and catapult look quite nice on board.
They have a lot of complexity to them.

I hope this isn't a duplicate. My earlier post disappeared.

Great work, Mike. The cranes are real masterpieces and you did a fine job on the field expedient funnel grillage.

Don and Michael...thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

Concerning the grillage, whenever I scratch a piece out, it usually ends up way to large. So I tried really hard to keep this one in scale. I think it works.

More bits and pieces...second funnel finally made it to the ship and then lights on the superstructure and two life rafts (lots more to come).

The anchor chain came from the free download of Dave Sakrison..thanks Dave...the one provided in the kit was not great.

Working on more rangefinders... complex pieces that take lots of time.

Very precise work on the secondary armament and those complex range finders. Everything is very precise, as always.
