Kobben class submarine, scale 1/400.

During my build of 1/200 scale Foxtrot class SSK, I have announced, that I'm going to leave 1/200 and jump into 1/400 scale.
I started immediately with my very new, very first project in 1/400:
Kobben-class submarine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Four of them are in PL Navy service.

Why such a tiny sub of 45meters long? Because, if it will be possible to build 112.5mm model, any larger sub will be also possible to build in 1/400.

First, the 3D model. It took only few hours to design and unroll surfaces:

The number of details is low, but even the real one is not detailed.
The most difficult elements are:
-fore section
-the conn with rounded front edge

Hull sections. Olfa knife as a scale comparison:

Building the hull was not time consuming The conn includes two separate blocks and the roof with rounded edge:
]

Fore section. Glued edge2edge, unroll is "flower-like":

The hull is ready:

Meanwhile I glued the propeller. Five blades glued to the toothpick, then the tip with blades is cut off - the prop is ready:

The hull is painted with black Vallejo acrylic paint:

Stay tuned!

Model is painted, and "weathered" with dry paint pigments:

Now, some simple stand and periscopes.

Very neat design and build, thank you for showing it to us.
Do you use any internal formers to keep the hull circular?

Thx Jim

@maurice
there are 5 internal formers with circular cross-section, supporting first four sections, and tiny double-T bar like element, supporting fore section (not shown on the pictures)
