USS Coeur de Lion 1:250

Hi All,

Since I finished my Mortar Barge I started on Magnus Morck's Coeur de Lion in 1:250. Its been a slow process so far with plenty of interuptions from work and baby but its getting there. I redid the base and inner structure a second time as the first was a disaster but learned a lot of valuable lessons in the process. Here are the first few photos of the super-structure where its at now!

I did this one a couple of years ago.
A bit of advice; slow down and LOOK at what's going where.

One of the fist paper models built! Great project. Room for a lot of detail!

Looking good!
Having to redo the base is just part of the process. I have always liked the Coeur de Lion but haven't built it, so I plan to watch closely.

Very nice. It's in my stack of 'want to build' models, so I will follow your thread with interest.

Greetings

Its been a rougher week with my new 4-week old daughter taking all my time . Got a couple of hours to myself this afternoon. Finished the wheel house, installed the rear deck and preppared and pasted some of the re-enforced parts which are now stuck in a book so they dry straight.....

The ox is slow but the earth is patient ....finally got some build time. Started on the stack and drive arrangement. The funnel/stack took a few goes but I finally got something I was happy with.
