I need help

Hello,

I am making IJN Hiei at the moment, and I would like to make lifeboats and cutters. Original parts in the kit are not exactly what I would like them to be, that's why I want to make them from scratch, add much more detail, and make them (especially their shape) much more accurate.

Do any of you have a technical drawings or blueprints showing the cross-section of the 15m Japanese cutter from WW2 used on battleships?

Best regards,
Adam

IJN Heiei

Hi,
First of all my admiration on an absolutely superb build. (you must have microscopic eyes and tweezers for fingers!)
Re her boats, the info that I have states she had 9 meter oared cutters - 15 meters is huge for a ship's boat.
Really good drawings of these can be found in Conway's Anatomy of a Ship - The Heavy Cruiser Takao. I would think that your local library will have a copy of this book or can get one for you.
Very best regards
Justin

I have everything you need but I will have to look for it in my "collection" I will do it in the evening. In the meantime, write me your e-mail on private message so I could send it to you.

Regards from Poland,
Kuba
