Ise funnel area is completed (outside of small details). Next up Hiei. This structure was comparitively easy to build with respect to the two previous kits.

Hiei is now assembled to the same level as Kongo. It's been fun building these as a group. The build quality is no where near that of Hiob's, I simply don't have that level of skill.
The length of all the major assemblies have actually fit just fine, sorry Hiob, but I didn't have to make any adjustments front to back. I did however have to elevate "C" turret 1.5mm to clear the aft funnel deck house. I added some comparison pictures with the Kongo. Of course Hiei was lost early in the war and she is 2.5 years earlier as a representation. The GPM kit is superior to Angraf in the printing quality but is otherwise no better or worse from an assembly perspective. Joe |
