Just amazing! So much work! And such an impressive ship collection it will be.

Paper Fan, that is some great work, don't think you ''don't have the skill'', because you do! Give it one or two years and it will be even more amazing!

The aft superstructure on Fuso went together with some above moderate difficulty with the observation bridge otherwise the construction was without issues. The mast is all styrene as with the majority of my kits.
Next up, the rest of the main superstructure. |

Fuso is my favorite out of this group.

Impressive
You are very talented! Even though this is a very slow and meticulous work I'm looking forward to see those beauties finished.

Fuso's forward superstructure near completion. I still have to place all of the smaller equipment on the upper works but will wait until I catch up on all 4 ships. This portion of the assembly went together exceptionally well with very few tweaks. Fortunately all parts seem to line up well from stem to stern. I made the radar from brass mesh inlaid between to laser cut frames. There was a photo etch interior but it did not survive the initial packaging due to its extremely fragile nature. All of the window sections were dimensioned and redrawn in Autocad to allow for assembly errors. I only used the kit supplied for the top most piece.
Next I will bring Ise to this level. Going back and forth between the 4 ships has helped keep things fresh. |

The photos and the high quality of workmanship make this look a lot bigger than it actually is. Looks terrific.

The following images of Ise with the main superstructure completed (minus guns and minor equipment. Unlike Fuso, this Angraf kit leaves a lot to desire. I had to make adjustments in height at almost every deck. However I do like the overall look of this model so far.
Ise and her sister Hyuga may have been the least observed of all Japanese BB's from a modelers perspective. They both effectively survived the war only being sunk at their moorings after the war was really already over. They proved to be very tough ships. I threw in a couple pics of Kongo, I am finishing here forward superstructure next. This model like Fuso is much better designed by Angraf than Ise. Joe |
