I've brought my personal favorite Kongo up to the level of Fuso ans Ise. Some minor adjustments here and there but overall surprisingly well fitting. On the top mast under the radar structure the main center pole for the mast is marked way to far forward. Care to line up the assembly on the lower assembly before gluing the tube into position. I initially did not do this and had to tear the tube from inside the structure, make a new one and reinstall.

The details are beginning to flesh out (can I say that about a steel ship?)the ship. It is really taking shape (there, that's better!) now. She looks good.

Superb work,
The details bring the ship to life ! Amazing that you work on four models simultaniously. |

1 - keeps me fresh, I get tired of one, I move to the next. 2 - speeds up overall assembly especially the 3 Angraf kits. I built all the turrets at the same time, and will do so with the secondary weapons, AA, and ships boats ultimately speeding up the process. I plan to build a series of CA's afterword (in about a year). I just past my 1st anniversary on these and expect to be done by summer 2015. |
