Looks already very promising Jakub, looking forward to more. I like models of this kind (not out of the box) of ships, That is why I like the card model scratch building (see my ASHIGARA) by the way, I will continue her building in a few months, because of family affairs She is now stationed on the attic, waiting for me, to take her back to the building board !

Greetings

John.

Fantastic project Kuba. Really look forward to the final 神州丸 can literally mean a ship from the God's Land or Divine Land, i.e. from Japan A very nice connotation.

Thank you very much for the kind words.

Hiob: It is to early to say if I will make the model public. I am designing it that way just in case. (It is a possibility - we will see)

JohnMGD: I like unique models too. Building twentieth Fuso is not fun for me (but I do not say that, some day I will start building it). Since there is a lot of IJN models in 1:200 on the market I decided to focus only on the landing-forces ships and auxiliary vessels.

Great to read that you going to finish Ashigara. Great project worth finishing.

Regards,
Kuba

I have the first problem and I need your help. If someone know the legitimate source of information about the Shinshu Maru's length and width I would be grateful to give me this info.

The dimensions I got from the net differs. 156m/19m, 156m/22m, 144m/22m. I assume the length is 156m as it appears in two separate sources. But I still do not know about width. Without it I cannot correct the frames.

Hi Jakub,

a fantastic project.
That is way out of mainstream, which makes it a "definitely will have" ...

To your question regarding the dimensions:
A friend of mine has build the resinmodel from NICO models some time ago.
They scaled it to 19m beam, which is not necessarily a reference, but according to him this maker is known for quite good research.

Anyhow, iŽll follow the construction of this unique vessel intently

Hi,

After many years since the last update, I decided to revive the project.

The previous frames were inaccurate, so I designed new ones. Here are some photos:
