That is is a nice little job. Could you say something about the prototype - history, 'nationality' and so on - assuming the model had one of course?

As luck would have it, Mortar Boats from the Civil War got a two-page spread in this month's "Naval History" magazine from the US Naval Institute. It's commonly available in local Barnes & Noble stores.

Very nice work. I have built it as well. Mine didn't turn our ANYWHERE near as nice.
