Nice images of that hull work. With a week of "unpaid" time off, you are making fast progress. I'll stay on my toes to keep up with this one.

More progress for your perusal. For the upper deck, I laminated the bottom surface instead of the top so I could drill the whole way through to aid in placing and gluing the posts and reels that needed to be sandwiched between the decks. Then I glued the top deck surface in place.
The front tower is still in two pieces and features a spiral staircase making its way down throught the center. Enjoy, Greg |

Thanks Greg, I really like that excellent idea of drilling the holes to assist in alignment.

This is really moving along nicely. The Orel models seem to have improved greatly since their original offerings a few years ago - and you are making it looking even better!

Nice work Greg. I looked up some information on the Admiral Ushakov. This is one of the old boats that met it's end at Tsushima. It has a lot in common with my build (Oslabya). Looks like this ship was launched a few years earler. The colors schemes are almost identical. This build is really speeding along.

Thanks all. I will slow down when I get to the smaller parts. I also am not sure how I'm going to do the railing. Photoetch railing seems to be a bit expensive but may be my best option. I'm not sure I'm up for making my own.

The stacks are finished and mounted. On to the turrets!
