Orel Admiral Ushakov

Here is my next project: The Admiral Ushakov.

I am building this as a full hull ship and have actually got through the build up of the hull frame work already. So far so good!

Enjoy,

Greg

Cheers!

I also have this one on my build list. A beautiful vessel, I'll be watching this build.

Oh yeah, I will be checking this one out, I have Gremirs' version after checking out a couple of builds of it here and on the German forum. I am working up the courage and skill set before I jump in with both feet. Nice work with what you have so far, looking forward to your updates.

This one has been on my shelf for awhile also. Maybe this will provide the motivation to do more than flip through the pages.

This appears to be one to follow. I am currently doing a Russian boat (Oslabya), so I may be able to learn some things from watching this one. Nice work on that frame.

I haven't built many ships, but hope I learn something in the building process of this one myself. Since my employer has graciously provided me with a week off (unpaid) due to the wonderful economic conditions we all have to endure, I have hit this one hard while monitoring the military channel and avoiding my "honey-do" list. :p

Here are pictures of my progress so far. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fit. Hull plating fit well with few gap issues and the rest of what I built so far has only needed sparse trimming here and there.

Lookin' good with her hull plating and sides on there.

Try tellin' her that both your knees suddenly gave out and you can only sit at the modelin' bench until later in the week so hopefully you will be fully recovered in time to go back to the saltmines.
