Very interesting mode build, and a great collection of subs. This model is very similar to the Israeli navy Dolphin class build in germany, I think it is a type 212.

Dolphin is much larger. Here's great picture, showing the differencies between Dolph and U212:

Ok, Dolph is going to be my next project. Two versions in two different paintings will be available:

-turquiose green, short hull diesel-electric (Dolphin, Leviathan, Tekumah)
-navy blue-black-turquiose green, long hull AIP (Tannin, Rahav)

!שלום
Definitely interesting vessels. First and the only non-nuclear subs, capable of nuclear deterrence. Interesting painting schemes, and strong names: Old Testament's "Leviathan", or "Rahav".
Great choice I think.

שלום וחג שמח

Names of the new subs are as previously Israeli navy subs, starting with the old british S class.

With no bad intentions, any news about the DDG68 ? Thread is very promisimg, and this class is on my to do list.

Project DDG68 is cancelled, due to data loss. And I have left 1/200 scale (too much time consuming).

Now 1/400.

Mor !שלום

Take a look and tell me what do you think about this:

It came out, that Dolph II differs a lot from U214.
Basically Dolph II is lengthened U212 with different conn and hydrogen tanks beneath the hull.

Hello strk,

The 3D models are very realistic, looks great !

I agree with you that the Dolphin class are based on the type 212 hull, with some difference in length, coning tower, location of the horizontal fines and the tail fines. Even between the 5 Dolphin class there are difference, not only in length but also in the horizontal fines. First picture is Tkuma and the second is Rahav.

With some more details of the Tanin and Dolphin

Adding a drawing from the interenet of the Dolphin class

Hope that I am not boaring you with familiar pictures,

Shalom Mor
