I didn't have time to make a trip to Texel on this summer's long-distance cycle (but that was in order to get to Alkmaar, so forgive me!) so if I pass that way again I will be sure to visit the museum. I did see a wonderful variety of ships in Harlingen, including a replica of Barent's arctic exploration ship.

I hope to bring out 'Dutch 17th century shipmodels in paper' early next year. The book is ready and designed (by Emiel) and we are awaiting the publisher's editing work. Can't wait....
