Ravensblight Ghost Ship

I finished the Ghost Ship from Haunted Paper Toys a while back and have just got around to photographing it. Could not resist including a background.

As I recall I just followed the instructions without any embellishments. Figure it could use some better rigging. Yeah, one of these days.

Just noticed the file name. It is ship&sky2 but photobucket changed it to shipampsky2.

Your pic (nicely done btw) reminds me of a painting in a book I had on pirates as a young boy back in the 1950's. Wish I still had it.

What a beautiful photo, SCEtoAUX! You created a great dramatic effect! I took the liberty to repost this at my blog, with deserved credits to you, of course.

Thanks for the really nice image!

Greetings from Brazil!

Mauther

Thanks, folks.

It is a nice and relatively simple build that gives a dramatic final product. It is one of the few models I kept over the years. It keeps bugging me about adding more rigging but other stuff keeps coming up, like sleep, tv, shadows, procrastination, etc....

Mauther, thanks for deciding the pic is a good addition to your blog.

Very nice. When time frees up, I was thinking of attacking this. Well, the Dark Promise, but I was going to use the sails from the Ghost Ship. I think it should look nice.

You did a very nice job with it

I built both of them, slightly modifed by ,making them lower in the water and they stand on a window sill, one at each side. I think they would make a very good subject for "kit bashing".
