Hello Jorg, have followed your build on the German Forum. I am a Cruiser fan and have a 1:200 USS Indianapolis framed up now for a W/L build. If possible, give us Yanks a post on how you used silk for rigging! Very interesting, and for smaller scale ie: I have numerous 1:300, this would be a great detail to know how to do. Welcome to this side of the big pond and hope to hear from you more. I have followed all your builds and you have a great deal to offer to us here.:DRick PS: I could not get the little dots over your o in your name, please forgive if I misspelled.

Good morning gentlemen,

I have to correct my post from yesterday, concerning the diameter of the sewing thread I used for the rigging. It´s 0,012mm and not 0,12mm.

Rick,

it´s no silk at all, it´s a polyester thread. In Germany we call it just parachute silk or ballon silk.

I bought my stuff here: FadenVersand.de - Shop | Amann Serafil No.120/2 5000m | Serafil

OK, it´s in german but as you can see, the thread holds for a modelers lifetime (5000 m) and you have the choice between 61 colors. I´d chosen a medium and metallic grey.

Don´t mind the "ö". Just write Joerg....

Yu san,

good to hear from you. Sure, I will post my results here from time to time and I hope to have you and to read from you at kartonbau.de again.

kindest regards,

Jörg
