So, I was Set in a combat situation and decided not to rigging.

Downloaded the files but can't get them to open. The file extension seems to be wrong.
The file as downloaded is --pos_ship-140806.zip.001
Any ideas?

Tom;

Each of the Web pages that Spiral gave to us has a link to a downloadable numbered partial Zip file.
The default unzipper program that comes with Windows cannot handle these files. As Spiral noted you need a program like 7_Zip (or possibly Winrar or Winzip) that can combine the partial zip files into a single file and decompress it. Some people like to break up a large single download into several smaller files.
If you are running a recent version of Windows, you can download a portable version of 7-Zip at
PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB, portable and cloud drives
Portable programs are contained in a file folder, and usually do not change your computer's registry.
Download 7zip or other program that can handle fractionated compressed zip files, open the program, click on all of the files, 001 though 004, and run the program. It will combine the partial zip files into a single file decompress it.

If you like 7Zip, please donate a few dollars to the 7Zip developers, and to the Portable Apps people if you use the portable version. This lets the freeware developers know they are appreciated and encourages them to keep them providing updates and new software.

@ Spiral: Your ability to communicate with us in English is much better than our ability to reply back in Korean. We have been able to understand everything you have posted here. There are many people who who visit or post on papermodelers.com who are not primary English speakers, and many of the English speaking members here visit and make posts on foreign language sites. Between using Google and getting help from bilingual members we manage to make ourselves understood. I think most of us know how to read "paper model" in three or four languages.
There are excellent French, Spanish (both European and South American), Polish, Czech, and Russian paper model forums and vendor sites. We know of several Asian paper model sites, and some of their members visit here, but the language barrier and differences in the way web sites are programmed make it difficult for users of western language keyboards to make return visits.
What I find fascinating is that there are regional styles of paper model design, and often individual characteristics that allow the work of an individual paper model artist or his "school" to be identified.
I hope that between your knowledge of Englsih, machine translation and some help from your friends that you will be able to understand this.

Nice ship model. Very colorful.
Just to make sure everything unzipped correctly, is the file a 9 page pdf with a cover page, an information page, and seven pages of parts?
