Some slow progress in my KONGO model, although I work on it every day. Well...here are some more pictures, if the quality is somewhat lesser, I shot them with my iPad.
The last picture are the finished Funnels with steam pipes. By the way these little pieces on picture one are laser cutted by Martin Fay, from Lasermodelle.de, these are very tiny parts, but non was spilled, I used them all, and very well to scale, I think this looks very good.

Still working on KONGO, work progresses slow, because it is trial and error building parts, but we are getting there, here some more pictures of the Bridge with front conning tower and one of the, not yet completed, after conning tower.
Enjoy !

John.

You created so many fine details John. That rivet work on the turrets is outstanding.

Hi John!

I'm with you because I'm building a Kongo class Hiei so you have one more ally.
Looking forward!

I've only just picked up this thread. Just a word of warning. the builders model of any ship is produced to show the buyers what they have ordered in three dimensions. It is not necessarily the vessel actually constructed. Using the builders model as the basis you would need clear detailed photographs of the vessel after acceptance.
