Well John, I am no expert on the Imperial Japanese Navy, but perhaps a destroyer?
I am curious: Do you build aircraft carriers?
I was always fascinated by the array of Japanese carriers, many without superstructures above the flight deck.

Hi all, I have to disappoint you all, but I stopped with "Hikawa Maru". Why ??? Well I did some resizes in Photoshop and they all came out wrong, when I did my measurements they were all exact, but when I print things, they all print much too big, so I should not know how to get things resized, I dumped PS, because it is is not trustable, at least in resizing, so the only thing I can do is stop with my plan because resizing is a very important part in this hobby. For instance my model would have become 81,5 cm long in scale 1:200 but with the prints it would have become scale 1:186 and 83cm long, which is unacceptable, so guys that was it, at least when I do not find a program with which I can do the same as in Photoshop, does anyone have any ideas ??? I have an iMac.
Oh yes... Michael, now you know what I was planning to build....."Hikawa Maru"

Will you build the model of Hikawa Maru as a wartime hospital ship?

As I am sure you know, Hikawa Maru is still afloat in Yokohama harbor. The Hikawa Maru – Yokohama’s Historic Museum Ship – Yokohama Station

I did not know this when I lived in Japan 1987-90 or I would have visited it.

Don

Don: Yes I knew that Hikawa Maru is still around, and I downloaded a lot of Hi-Res pictures of her, I also have a lot of Builders model pictures of her, and no, I will not build her as a Hospital ship, my template is, again, as with KONGO the builders model and the scale 1:350 model from Hasegawa.

Well, now to my problems I had with resizing with Photoshop. I deleted PS from my iMac and did a good cleaning of the system (found nothing by the way, only a lot of crap), and installed the program fresh and now everything works fine again, also resizing, so on we go with "HIKAWA MARU"
