Working on the superstructure.
I had a problem with the funnel, the Original Paper Model (OPM) had the width of the "skin" wrong, so I had to resize this part of the piece and reprint it. But it's resolved now. I investigated which were the funnel platform numbers and designed the bridge wing supports. I'm starting to feel that there are a lot of OPMs of many ships that have design problems. Luckily I allways research my models before starting them. Well, that's the ship status so far. I'm on vacation untion january 12, so it will be going fast.

Thanks Simm. Yes, it's little but I'm planning to build more than a docen of ships and the only way to have so much ships in one place without having to leave the room is this. Mayde some day I'll do an 1/96 sailing ship, but... it's in the "someday" folder.
The funnel, the secondary guns, the rear castle, the anchor chains... my main concern is the superstructure and anything I feel to install. After all, I'm on vacations.

Two more secondary guns attached, three more to go.
The painting is advancing too, with more surface covered.

My vacations ended. So the work has slowed. But I put together all the ships I have done, and two I will do.
So, from bottom to top, HMS Onslow, DKM Scharnhorst, DKM Bismarck, BB-63 Missouri, RMS Titanic (in 1/700 siloutte) and HMS Hood (in plastic, unassembled) All at 1/700 scale (Soon I will have a decent camera, I hope)

Building the life boats. The metal tube to the right is a pen mine, and the box up and center is a matchbox

Placing the boats and a test with my new camera. At last!
The striped horizontal surfaces are wooden decks without paint. In fact, you can see some parts of the main deck waiting for guns and equipment before the last layer of paint. In the low-quality picture, you can see some of the 14 boats of the ship.

The ten motorboats are finished and installed, same with the four rowboats.
The deck is being filled with boxes and equipment And the camera.. is working perfectly

Hi there!
Very impressive at this scale! The Bismark is one of my favourite and is waiting to be built among others in my collection. And with the new camera the pictures show her beauty much better! Rgds, Radek

Thanks, Radek! I'll take this long weekend to advance a lot.
I allways loved the Bismarck, too. But I've been surprised to know that the DKM Scharnhorst, finished a year before the Bismarck, had almost the same armament, had the same armour and almost double power! But, the Bismarck was THE Bismarck, the insignia ship, and so is the most famoust German ship. Have you seen the National geographic documental about its wreck?
