German submarine U-96

Hello my friends. Greetings from Colombia. After watching the film "Dasboot" I decided to build the card model of this famous submarine that I downloaded some time ago. It is a mystery model. It carries no printer's name or any written instructions. However, the model is superb. I think it evens surpasses the Revell plastic model. It is 1/72 scale and it includes about 60 assembling pictures and all the sheets for printing. Can anybody advice me where to find additional information on building this model? Thanks a lot!! EDUARDO (Check the attached photos of the finished model from the kit).

Yes!! You're right. Someone told me that this model is not fully accurate, that the colours are wrong in some areas and that there are a few "holes" misplaced. Is this true?

If it's the UHU02 model then it's pretty safe to assume it's accurate to the film submarine, he puts in an amazing amount of research for his designs. How accurate the film submarine was to actual WW2 U Boats I don't know.

That's right. I have not seen any major flaws in UHU's designs, they are always accurate to the spot. And yes, of course, this is a model of a filming miniature, so there might be some deviations from the real thing. Yesterday night the movie was shown on TV again; I have recorded it and will watch it later.

Thanks guys. Perhaps my friend was thinking not on the movie sub but on the original one. I will ask him again to be more specific with the flaws he allegedly found and post them here.
