I am continually amazed how the AC3D-Pepakura combination yields an exact buildable model to the exact specification that I see in the AC3D model I designed. Here are the first 4 levels assembled:

ok, the alpha build went quite well. the coloring is a bit dark, and the model is about 26cm long. I've fixed the coloring, and will be doubling it to 52cm for the next build. here is the final result:

Interesting build report. How do you propose to put the "bows" in the 52cm model? More tissue? Nice looking ship btw.

I might have to upgrade to paper towels, but I imagine the technique will still work just fine. All I needed was to put a slight curve in the front, and packing in the tissue until it kept the shape, then put a new back on it, and it works just fine.

the model made with the many boxes is amazing stiff and strong as well.
