Glad you are taking lots of pictures.

These things suddenly disappear with surprisingly little in the way of pictorial Records!

Dear nebeltex:
is the shell about 8" to 10" in Diameter? Glad to see that it is Tethered.
Miles
Does the captain have engineering drawings of the ship you could photo? Does the cook make big pans of pan rolls big soft and aerie in texture? I got to visit Mississippi Tub boats and have always remembered the rolls.

Don,
this is also an ACE project. I think of you when I have to e-mail daily reports to shore. Some of those involved have that .army.mil address suffix!

Miles,
the dredge heads are screened, and there are secondary "catch baskets" before the hopper. Both have 4" square screening. We have not found any interesting artifacts yet, but I did notice a nice "door-stop" aboard.

Herky,
I don't know which line the vessel was with, but now she works for "The Dutra Group" and there is currently a large "D" on her funnel.

Gale warning today, so no work to be done.... at least no dredging.
the photo shows her with the Salen funnel, swedish company that we used their reefer ships for banana trade.

The only highly detailed sea going dredger that I know of is indeed the Scaldis model of the Dutch Willem van Oranje (aka Gateway). It can also be built with full hull, demonstrating the lowered position of the suction pipe. Some more pictures on my Collection: https://www.flickr.com/photos/zeist_bouwplaten/, album Shipping. There is also a lasercut detail set, and a set of lasercut formers. The latter makes life easier, but is not necessary. Go to my site - Zeist Bouwplaten - Import, verkoop, ontwerp en productie van papieren schaalmodellen, maquettes en bouwplaten (cardmodels), Modelbouw, Rietveld cutoutmodels for more information, or send me a pm.

Still all at sea, or finished now?
