Received this today from Ziest Bouwplaten.Looks a great model of Indonesian navy patrol ship at 1;200 scale.Good instructions and diagrams.In english and du
tch .Its listed as a scaldis kit but i would have it is from the ship manafacturers.Will scan some pages and start a build thread as i have time.The reason i show two pictures is that the first is the scaldis cover as shown on the site and the second is the actual model cover as delivered.The ships were built at Damen Schelde shipyards in Vlissingen,Holland

The two are identical: it was first produced by Scaldis as a public relations thing for Damen Shipyards, then Scaldis were given permission to print their own.

By the way, just in case anyone wants to find me: it is zeistbouwplaten.nl
Zeist is pronounced like 'ice'.

yup thats what i thought.it looks like its going to be a great model.going to scan it so i can build all four ships

The model consists of;
10 pages of photographs,diagrams and instructions in english and dutch which includes a history of the class of ships.
1 small plastic sheet of railings
4 sheets on light paper,three of which need laminating to make up hull formers
6 sheets of printed parts on card.

total of 181 parts
parts to make 4 different ships of the class;

small sample of the parts.going to scan them all in to account for errors or further builds at later date.hope this has got your interest so far and hope to start build in the next week.ship is full hull

its at printers today as im doing my usual trick of blowing it up to a3 size to build first

Am a happy bunny.All sheets including acetate blown up to a3 at my local copy shop for the grand price of $10.00 so will make a start on hull today,just need to laminate former parts.i use addos spray glue to laminate and the new glue i havefound to replace uhu on other parts.just bear with me as back to day job tommorrow so progress will be slow

Ok working 18 out of last 24 hours in real job decided i needed to relax.Keel and formers are fitted and the three main decks are laminated and ready to be fitted.Was worried about twist in hull but fastening the decks in place will straighten it out.Nice simple build at this stage

few more photos of hull and superstructure.details on superstructure are done as per hmv stlye.that is they are printed on but you also have the option of a second part to give relief effect with doors hatches and liferings if you wish
