Thank you very much for the tips Peter and Draco. Today I'm trying to do that. The threads already spent the night hanging and embeded in glue. I made several samples of varying lengths and glue type.

I am trying a mix of both techniques.

I embedded the threads in glue and left them hanging from the table during one night.

On the next day, the threads were stiff enough to hold their own weight on the vertical. Found that a very useful tip. Thanks for that draco.

I spent a good time cutting the threads on the correct size and gluing them on the mast beams. For that, used superglue (thank you peter).

Based on some pictures I found online, I was able to make a nice rigging setup. Aside from a few dry glue drops on the line, I'm quite happy with results. It totally changed the face of my ship.

I attached a few pictures for you to check out.

regards

Totally agree. This is a mighty fine build indeed, it would look nice on a cover somewhere...now where could that be ?....

Thank you very much for your kind words gentlemen. This model was a real pleasure to build, specially the rigging part.

Now I must find a nice display case to put her.

Best regards, and thanks again for the support.

Really nice detail work, adding the rigging really sets it off.

Hello there my friends,

I'm looking for a new model to build after this one. I was reading a bit about WWI and got interested in building dreadnougths. I've contacted Kalinski and GPM about shipping to Brazil. Unfortunately, none of them replied.

I ask you if you have any interesting free model hints or If there is a guarantee that those companies deliver to South America, without problem.

scaldis models in netherlands have a heap of hmv dreadnoughts and i have bought several models from them that they have shipped at reasonable rates to new zealand so they might be worth contacting or you could try hmv direct

Sorry I can't help with your South-America-Delivery questions.
But if you get your hands on a World War I dreadnought, I look forward to your building report.
