You are fast and as usual brilliant. No remarks about historical correctness from me this time. A pleasure to watch.

Hi , Thank you, Abhovi
I have reservations, two replicas and two different sailboats.
Historians probably not able come to an agreement.
How now to build a model ??

I think you can probably find another version of the Golden Hind out there. I was thinking I had found three when I thought about using it as a base for a shipwreck model I whipped up. Of paper model versions of the Golden Hind, I think there were also three that barely resemble each other. I think folks designed fictional craft and just slapped a familiar name on them

Hi, Vermin King
Also, I found the three replicas of one sunk, and are also important differences.
The project I'm building was probably developed on the basis of Gilden Hind in Brixham + plans available in the network Pelican.
On the basis of the current model builds .

I do not know enough about English ships, but if I had to make a choice, I would certainly start with the Matthew Baker papers in the archives of Magdalene College en if I am not mistaken in Samuel Pepys's library. Baker described in the late 16th century how the main frame of such a ship was shaped and how the lines ran fore and aft. I don't know what the makers of these replica's used as their basis (probably the same), but if it leads to three different ships, it shows how careful one has to be interpreting historical sources. As for the colors and details, there are some contemporary pictures. Bjorn Landstrom made some beautiful reproductions of them. Bringing out a kit of a ship like this is a sign of utmost optimism.

Hi
Abhovi I have to rely on photographs and their own conclusions, descriptions in the English language is a big problem for me.
Translation in translator introduces many mistakes and the text is incomprehensible.

Progress of work, the first rigging mounted.

Hi Henryk. The first rigging looks good to me. Rigging is my favorite part of sailing ship model building. I feel your pain though in trying to understand nauticalspeak. It can be difficult even for English speakers and some of the texts are in languages other than English so I understand your problem there. I'd think Ab, Firdajan or Michael Mash would be your best bets for help there.

Hi , Thank you Elliott
My modeling is and will be only fun, take care to make it so.
Serious modeling generates stress, quarrels modelers, I cut from such modeling.
Request for help ? .. yes if the question does not take much time for the answer.

Respect free time friend ! time for us modelers very valuable

Authentic looking rigging Henryk.
I am always impressed by the decorations they applied to the upper hulls.
