I look forward to seeing you work your magic on this model, Boats. I really like the U.S. Navy treaty cruisers, and I have owned this kit for a long time, but never had the nerve to actually try building it.

Fair winds and following seas on this build.

Hull Construction

Ahoy
Thanks everyone for your kind comments I haven't built a card kit of a ship in a while last one was the Lurline which I had not forgot I will start on that and get her done this spring time. Okay to this kit its a dream to build no fit issues with this one all formers along with keel are doubled for thickness and strength a must for all card kits in general. after the hull formers were installed I cemented the deck sections and followed over with the hull side skins they went on perfect without fuss. Here are the update pictures fellas.

Fitting out

Ahoy
Here is another update build report the hull has been completed with exception of hause pipes and screw guards. At this stage of construction follows the fitting out of the deck super structures and their fittings I constructed the after main deck house and the seaplane winch the Hanger bay doors have been cemented in place preparing to construct and install the fittings that fit to the hanger door the kit gives you a option of installing the hanger doors open or closed I elected to have it in closed postion. underway ships colors.
