That's some very impressive work there.

Very good. Looks kind of like two ships being built in a shipyard with the construction crews racing to see who finishes first.

Thanks, Elliot and SCEtoAUX

Yes, This dual assembly was an unusual experience for me. Reading SCEtoAUX made an image come from my mind: a shipyard with the Prince of Wales, Belfast and Ark Royal being build side to side.

Who knows. For now, my goals are: finish both Titanics, finish the HMS Hood (plastic model, but at the same scale), finish a SSN 688 VLMS at 1/350 scale, build a Type VIIC at 1/350 scale.

As yoy can see, all the lifeboards have been placed, the front and rear tube in each funnel are made, painted and glued, and the horizontal spar of each crane (eight each ship) have been made.

Well, well, well...

The ship is receiving the miriad of small details that converts a good model in that small artwork that makes the observer to want to search each part of the ship looking for the detail that will make exclaim: "Look! it even has... !"

And it's the time of decisions, too. Will the ship has ladders? Until yesterday, the answer was: no. But tonight I made and placed them.

Will have benches? I was dubios. The benches are an importatn part of the rear castle, but I haven't found how to do them. Tonight, again, I made a test and it worked. You can see some benchs on one of the ships. This weel I'll do the rest of the benchs and they will be glued the weekend.

Will have wires? Again, no. For now. Maybe. No. Will see.

WHAT ?????????????????

The model is advancing, I'm placing the anchors. I'm starting to place details under the 5mm limit, and thus being difficult to show in the pictures.

Now remains to do in both ships: 3 anchors, some structures over the boat deck, three hatches, the benches, the masts, some wiring and finished!

Going slowly... Finishing the anchors and chains in both ships, very few remains to do on the forward castle.

Soon, the rear castle, the vents over the boat deck, and last the masts.

A lot of details.. a lot

Assembling more details. The forward castle is almost finished, just some machinery remains.

The turret between the central funnels was made with a special technique: first, I carve the lines in an acetate sheet. Second, I cover the carvings with paint, and remove the excess with clothing or similar. And last, cut with a scissor, fold and glue. I made three just in case, the worst was rejected.

By the way, doesn't matter how I upload the pictures, they allways are displayed backwards, right to left, so please, see them 5 to 1 :-(

Almost ready!

I'm happy, can't believed, after so many time!

Both ships have the decks completed, the masts placed, just lacks the propellers and the aerials.

So, this week the propellers, and saturday, the aerials!

Wonderfull!
