ok the norwegian gem 1:500 model is ready for a beta build: who wants to try? email me with an address that I can send the model. The only rule is you have to take lots of pictures and keep a log of the build.

What would you think about branching out a little, maybe a Disney ship? The Disney Wonder is "our" ship, even though we've only been on three cruises, we've spent over a month on her! Lots of good memories.

They are cheaper than you might think. Watch the prices on the internet to see when they cycle up and down. In between spring break and summer vacation is pretty good.

the gem worked out to about $150 a day. Considering that included an upscale room with balcony, fine dining, entertainment, all the booze I could drink and fruit smoothies, soft drinks, coffee tea... That's not a bad deal. I used to go to Wildwood NJ for a week in June, and the room alone was $240 a night.

that looks like a very nice ship, 2100 berths, 11 decks, 3 banks of elevators. Tell you what. send me some tickets for it (I'll need some flights to FL too from NY) so I can get some good pics of it, and I'll design it for you

cruising down our way works out about the same price with princess cruises.as you say its better value than a basic hotel room plus you get new scenery every day
