Delta Workboat 1:250 scale

A quick build thread this one:

This model is available as a free download from here:

Paper Shipwright | Card models from the UK

Although I purchased my copy from David, at last months model show.

This kit itself only has 30 parts and is rated as intermediate.

Build time:

The kit calls for a single deck thickness of 2mm. I doubled this up, so the hull sides were fully supported.

Next was to add the main boats structures; cabin and crane. The bumpers are 1mm card with black card coverings.

Last few parts a are the fittings. All the edge colouring was done using felt-tip pens.

The railings and ladder are laser cut card items from GPM. I would not recommend them. Too flimsy.

Great little build thread, Tim.

I built one of these, but your build is an inspiration to go back and do it better. Tapcho also built one. 1/250 workboat by PaperShipwright

Well done Tim, such small inbetween builds are sometimes required to bring back momentum and inspiration for the bigger jobs, at least that's my experience.

Erik

Very nice build Tim.
I like this small model, have the printout lying in my pile of 'want to do'-models.

Regards
Dieter
