There is of course also the Dutch Karel Doorman, originally published by Veritas and updated by Scaldis/Veritas. Quite a simple model: Veritas ('50ties, early '60ties) aimed at 10 to 15 year olds.

there is the old fly uss saratoga cv 60 i think out of print but still available here and there. that was 1/200. there is a way rare and oop essex class with angled deck by Mon. my suggestion is get one of the aforementioned digital kits. you can re do alot of frustrating parts in that format. also resizing is easier.

If you want to see some pictures of completed models here ist the link to the galery of a model shop: Kartonmodelle
Only go to 'Galerie-Flugzeugträger'
The Enterprise from HMV is still under construction:
United States Navy

HI maybe i put my oar in to this topic .The USS Enterprise CVN 65 by GPM is very well designed model in 1/300 scale printed off on high quality gloss paper
The parts match up almost perfectly despite the fact that model was designed and drawn by "hand" it Also comes with hangar deckSo far this is the only Professionally Published Card model of USS Enterprise.I Had a pleasure to built one in the late 90`s And honestly it was a pure pleasure !There was two issues The first one consisted of loose sheets packed in to plastic sleeve
The Second one had hard frond and back page and got redesigned aircrafts.
I got both .And after 20 yrs this model remains in immaculate condition
So if i was in your shoes i would grab this one !
Next one worth recommending is USS Saratoga CVA 60 Which I have built
And Again despite the fact that model was designed and drawn by "hand"
Everything match up with no problems.
The last one i built ages ago was "Minsk" Russian cruiser/aircraft carrier by Maly Modelarz As far as i remember it was a very good designed model.
Hope this will help you ..
Regards.
