You're doing a bang-up job at this small scale. Love the little planes you have done. Be sure and take some beauty shots when you're done (if you can).

Thanks, Elliott.

I'm a lot worried. Yestarday made a check and found that some of the machine guns and the main radar antena had desapeared, and worst, there was not any accident with the ship, so there must have fall just moving it over the table.

It means that when I finish the Big E it will be losing a lot of pieces each time I move it's box or take it out just to see it. And that is unaceptable. Another bad mark against the carriers. Sorry Ark Royal, sorry Gambier Bay, I won't be making you.

So, since the last post, placed some parts, lost more

Advancing...or I would say, placing more pieces than are getting lost.

My goal is to put the remaining pieces so fast that it will be finished some time before they start to disappear again.

Here in the picture are the flight deck cranes, the guardrails of the deck and part of the shielding/guardrails of the machine guns.

Parts remaining to finish: propelers, anchors, radars and masts, the searchlights, one AA quad gun (lost), and some machine guns. Some touches with paint and straight to the box!

Well, it seems that the "curse of the lost guns" have been raised.

This weekend I've been able to finish the guns placement, the radar antenas and another pieces.

Just remain to finish the anchors, the propelers, the searchlights, the AA quad AA gun and both masts. It must be finished by Tuesday night.

And glue the airplanes over the deck, of course!

Everything looks good. What's the Tuesday night deadline for? None of my business really, just curious....

Thanks, Elliot

The deadline is a psicological one. Today is venezuelan 5 of July, like the north american July 4th. So, no work, free time. But it's too that when I'm finishing a model sometimes I grow acustomed to the piece and can't convince myself to finish it and start a new one. So I put myself a finish time.

So, the searchlights are ready, the mast are being build, remaining part of the anchors, the propelers and the last quad AA gun. Still posible to finish today

Almost!!!!!!

Well, I'm too tired and tomorrow must work. You can see the masts, the new quad AA gun, the searchlights and the anchors. Some still unpainted, but already made.

Just remains the propellers, a bit of paint and cementing the planes. Sunday is the new deadline!

That's fun!

It's going to be like an episode of "24" without the gunshots.

Saturday AM and just the propeller remains, the rest are placed and painted!

She looks great! Was the fit of the basic kit good. It looks like it went well. I have this kit in the box, holding out building it because it looked a little difficult, particularly the bow section, but it looks as if you did well on that.
