looking good. take your time with the boxy structure underneath everything and the hull and deck skins fit perfectly with no twist or warp. is the bismarck 1/400 scale also?

Yes its this one: 1:400 JSC Bismarck

I am taking my time on the substructure. Lots of time. Thanks for checking in!

Moving along at a slow-ish pace for me. Fit continues to be good. The hull structure is a little different than what I usually encounter on JSC kits but so far everything feels sturdy and its staying flat on my work bench.

The understructure of the bow looks complicated.

It seems a very nice model and in your hands seems that it will end up very well for what I can see in your models.

As careful as I was to get the hull frame work built perfectly, I still ended up with the bow to stern length longer than the deck sub flooring by about 2 mm. The alignment lines do not all line up perfectly and I must have missed something somewhere. Also, it appears that the bow and stern subframes may need to be pushed in further when mounting to the hull boxes.

Anyway, I got it fixed and got the hull plating and decks on. The two stern end hull plate pieces were glued together with a joining strip I cut from scrap paper and then I trimmed the framing underneath until they fit right. The bow pieces fit fine as they were and the center section hull plating had some extra length (by design) that I trimmed to improve fit.

Oh and the deck pieces were attached via super 77 spray adhesive.
