Ah! We have reached the construction of the passarelles. Beautiful work, Mike. You are a master of the fabrication and use of jigs.

And the historic image is always much appreciated.

Don

Wonderful work Mike, You make it look so effortless to construct these beauties. I keep hyperventilating when I think of tackling my first ship. Your builds are inspiration. Keep up the great work and I look forward to another installment.

Hey Don. I couldn't resist providing a couple of images of jigs from the past.
These come from the Digital Navy USS Arizona. You can see the dates of construction on the images.
I think the second one (for me) is the "Mother Of All Jigs"

Lovely work on the bridge Mike. And as to the catapult jig, I have seen things like that in the chamber of horrors at the wax works!

Thanks John. I agree.
Much of the archive material has been sent to me by friends and admirers of the old warships.
I am grateful for their help.

Michael,
I just looked again through your thread and you almost had a cut open model of the ship, you only had to fill up the spaces, before plating this looked very special, like Don said, a pity to put it away behind plating !!
One thing more Michael, I am happy now how my hulls turn out, but I still envy your "Paper" hulls, they are so nice and smooth, I had to "Convert" to balsa to reach this kind of perfection !!
The following pictures would have been a possibility:

Here are the pictures :

This interior is "only" 2 dimensional, but looks very nice I think.
