Those railings are absolutely amazing! How do you accomplish that? In my past models, I used glue soaked rigging line, stretched between pins over a diagram. But mine would look absurdly sloppy next to yours!

Thanks John,
The railing method is delicate. But the result is not too bad.
I have descriptions of the technique scattered throughout my projects.
The best part about them is they are simple . . . paint and paper.

Hi Michael,

Great work! The 47mm guns are really well done! Not sure about the numbers though. I think as originally built I count 12 (4 on the forward bridge, 4 on the aft and 2 each in the fighting tops, though there may be 4) and 14 after around 1905, when the 2 more were installed forward of the conning tower, where the curve of the forward edge of the bridge was extended to form right-angles.

I think the shape of the hoist was a bit different, I tried to draw it in "paint" for you. The guides/frame in blue, the hoist carriage in purple, the pulley in green. But it's just my opinion.

The guide rails for the hoist extend below the bridge of course.

Best wishes,
John.

Thanks John for all the assistance with the ammunition hoists.
Next up: the 138mm guns/turrets.

The white hatch on the roof is I think just the inside surface of the hatch, which is in the open position. I think..
