Some projects don´t need any comments. This is one of them. My deep respect.

21 – Stern Superstructure

To acknowledge the kind remarks: Thanks Shipbuild, David, Joe and Jan.

For this update, I managed to get a good series of photos. They do a good job of explaining the work.
The stern superstructure was a challenge. It has more support poles than the forward superstructure.

The historical image shows the structures I tried to replicate.

Regards,
Mike

21 – Stern Superstructure

Note: Renaud noticed the name plate displayed on the Passarelle Superieure should have light letters on a dark background.
Here is a new image showing the correction.

Thanks Renaud.

Looking at these images is a pleasure equivalent to sipping a single malt, listening to Mozart or John Coltrane, or eating ice cream.

Absolutely outstanding work, Mike!

That's high praise indeed Don . . .
You have inspired me.
I'm going to have some ice cream and listen to some Mozart!
Mike

Michael, I have been watching and learning from your projects over the last few years and this one is demonstrative of a real expert at work. Love your choices of subjects - the Jaureguiberry, a perfect example - and your approach to the work of reproducing - faithfully and reasonably - history otherwise lost. The world of late 19th century/early 20th century naval history is very restricted to those modelers confined to plastic. We live in a bit of a Golden Age with paper with the models given to us by Europe, the GoldenBear and now you. Great work - the paper railings are worth the price of admission alone!
