It looks great Michael, I see you have all of the aft bulkheads in, looking forward to your updates.

I wish I would have "discovered" this about 50 pieces ago... coloring the edges before they are cut!
I don't mind cutting out all the little triangles, but trying to color the edges in the tight corners is not so enjoyable, with pencil and markers.
So, since the Prismacolor markers bleed through the paper, why not outline everything ahead of time, which results in the edges being colored when cut. It is easy to do this without coloring inside the piece.
This gives faster and cleaner results for me. I still run some colored pencil on the edges, but at least the corners aren't bright white.

Makes perfect sense to me. Wish I'd thought of it umpteen models ago.

First batch of bulkheads with my pre-cut edge coloring technique, using Prismacolor markers.
These are from the crew compartment [upper left] to galley [lower right]. That piece with the two openings is the one that supports the turret shaft.
Remaining -- there is one partition aft between the galley and boilers, then six more bare-bones frames that are just stanchions and brackets in the boiler/engine room.

Only about 5 frames left to do in the area of the boilers!
I wanted to add some of the tiny pieces of turret shaft support detail to its bulkhead before putting the bulkhead in the hull. There is even the wedge under the shaft for raising the turret. [The shaft will be added later when the gears are done.] The crew compartment really stands out now.

Moving right along, I'll bet you will be glad when that last bulkhead is done.

This is a good education on what a "Monitor" interior looked like.

Stunning work. You can almost imagine what it was like to live below deck, except of course, for the heat and smells.

All bulkheads completed

Finished inserting all the bulkheads into the armor belt.
Next will be attaching the interior hull plating parts to all the bulkhead tabs. Besides the two that are attached to the armor belt, there are five tabs per hull bulkhead that reaches the hull bottom.
