1/100 USS Monitor

Today, March 9th, is the anniversary of the 1862 Battle of Hampton Roads, between the CSS Virginia and the USS Monitor!
I have recently begun building the highly detailed 1/00 model of the USS Monitor by Mr. F. R. Dressler, which includes a full interior.
Attached are two views of the top of the completed "raft." These comprise the first 64 parts of the 1,040 part model. It is 19 3/4" × 4 5/8".
[I am new to card modeling and this forum, so I don't yet know all the posting procedures.]

Finished adding the forward third of the frames/bulkheads to the armor belt. All of the edges have been colored. These 19 frames and the anchor well were all on one sheet. [I still have a little to do in the bow.]
The door in the foreground leads from the crew berth deck to the officers' wardroom beyond, and their adjoining cabins.
There is a lot of detail on these frames, but the artwork below the flooring will be covered up. I am planning on leaving off some of the starboard hull plating to be able to see some of this detail, and get a different view of the interior. That is why there are no tabs on the right sides. How exactly this cutaway idea is going to end up looking, I am not sure.
Now, to start on the next sheet of frames...

Wow Michael!, you are really moving along!, It looks exactly the way it was intended, you are doing a remarkable job for a first timer.

I see you've opened the doors.

Hello Michael,
This looks too good to be the work of a beginner.
The kit seems to have terrific interior detail, so that is a great idea to leave off some of the hull plating for a view inside.

To give you an idea of what the 1/100 Ericsson Class Monitor kit looks like, here is Part Sheet 9 [of 12], which contains the center section of frames/bulkheads that I am working on next. With only 16 parts, I think this is the sheet with the fewest number. The sheets are 12" × 18".
I am currently assembling the parts found on Plan 5 [of 20]. You can see they are amazingly detailed and precise -- you can even see all the rivets.
