Hello Jan,

For a next project it might be a good idea to start your planking with the wales. It gives you the opportunity to fill in the planks between in a more natural way. Now the impression of wales glued over an under layer of previously done planks is too obvious for me.
My compliments for your accurateness. Your technique makes me jealous.

Hi Jan,
like it more and more.
The question about the wales that Ab asked (nice to hear you, Ab:-) is: did the wales and planks "cross" each other? I don't have the plans, but maybe they were "parallel" to each other? It is clearly seen on the stern, that planks "go" different way than wales.

Usually the wales were placed before the adjacent planks were fitted. Therefore I made my suggestion, which is in no way intended to take away Jan's achievement.

Thank you Tomek. Four screws in my back and some additional hardware gave me back my ability to stand and walk. After having suffered pain 7/24 it feels as if I received an entire new life.
Problem so far is that I cannot sit any longer than half an hour, which prevents me to do any work on the models that are waiting to be completed...

No one truly appreciates the absence of pain. I still think the standing desk might help you out when you are ready to get going again, abhovi.

I still am amazed at the outstanding ship models that appear in this forum. Thanks for sharing

Absolutely true Vermin-king.
As for your suggestion for a standing work place, I'm afraid I will stil lean over a bit, which is not very helpful for the healing proces.
But let's not pollute Jan's thread with my physical problems. I assure you I will be back in business before the end of the year.
Hope to see you then.
