Thank you, my friends, for your replies.

Abhovi, Seahorse: you´re both right. I know the method of shipbuilding ( wales first ), but when I´m making a model, I´m stil doing planking first. And... until now I still fitted wales and planks . The reason is that planks ( strips of foil ) are patinated and coated with matt uncolour varnish to create planking and wooden effect.
Unfortunately, it didn´t work this time because of the curvature of the aft. Believe me, I was very disappointed I shoul to solve it before planking by adding auxiliary strips of foils in places of wales ( it´s not possible to patinate planking perfect after adding of wales ). At this moment I had to overwork the whole planking - and maybe the result was even worse. I´m still learning... sorry.

Back to the model.
Finally I made something I start with construction of the bow ( and I finally found the method how to colour wales close to colour of planks ) and cutted a piece of decoration. I also made windlass.
I hope to put here some pictures of next progress sooner than obviously

Jan

Hello Jan,
I always look forward to a new set of photos from you.
You sound disappointed with part of the work.
But from the view from here shows all the work looks expertly done.

Jan
your work is on the very top. Don't be disappointed. As Mike said, from this side of the screen it looks very good.

Jan, there is no reason at all for you to be sorry. You are building a great shipmodel. All I said is, next time you build a model you might consider to start with the wales and fill in the planking later, just like the real thing. I never suggested you should change what you have. Your work is an inspiration for me, so go on. Just allow me to spread my useless knowledge without feeling sad about it. I was only trying to help you making things even better.

Hello friend, glad to see you again. I have been away for some time and have missed much. Your build as always is outstanding. I am looking to start a new project myself.
I have the 1/72 Shipyard HMS Wolf 16 Gun Sloop 1752, laser cut kit. I have not your skill, but I am blessed enough, I can afford the laser cut kits offered from Shipyard, so I go the easy route. Looking forward to more of your build. And as always, I learn so much from your work.
Rick

Thanks a lot, friends, for your replies.

Now I can just continue. I work slowly, but I´m working still I made some paper prisms 1 x 1,5 mm, impregned them by superglue colored and used to make ribs. I also glued both side of galion on the ship. Now I´m going to finish galion and handrails.

Great work Jan.
A couple of friends asked where I get inspiration from.
This is one of the places. . . . . . looking at these photos does it for me.
