that would be yuri: the world's dumbest cockateell bird. He's 15 years old and how he has lived this long is beyond my comprehension. Its the wife's. I finally got him moved downstairs to stop annoying me about a year ago, but we just got new kittens/cats and they were stalking him. That was fine with me, but she said he had to come up.

nahhh, just he's got an awful screech and won't stop doing it... for 15 years. he's got nice sounds too, and he get treats when he sings them, and yelled at when he screeches, but hasn't figured it out. Still bites me every time I try and give him a treat. dumb-ass bird.

Wonderful work... I'll be more than pleased if mine ends up looking half as good.

Keel attached and painted..

Thanks for the comments and tips..
After careful sanding and checking the fit, I glued on the keel. Painted with acrylics and oils.

yours is gonna be well past half... I don't see anything to indicate why yours won't be as good if not better so far. In fact I bet the casual observer won't even realize this thread has two different builds going on.

It looks very good. There are some spaces between the first plank and the bottom in the middle part on the second picture. It is correct, of course. If you have problems with fitting next planks upwards, you may need some cardboard "wedges". Such wedges helps somtimes (sometimes does not:-)))

(if more pictures can be helpful, here you are:
