I asked again for a camera, and here are the improvements I talked recently: the secondary guns have the right length, the rafts are the right form (just 9 installed, 21 remain), the third chain is installed but not the anchor, and a lot of details.
The medium gray is now the right tone and I rechecked the camouflage scheme to be sure that the spots are the right size and position. The funnels are now painted half and half like the b/w original picture. I'm expecting to finish the ship before December 31th. And I still feel very happy about this ship, a real pleasure!

Happy New Year!
I've been placing a lot of small parts spreaded over the decks and attached to the bulkheads... between end-of-the-year celebrations and family meetings. Pictures soon, maybe tomorrow

As told, here are the pictures.
The life racks are finished, the catwalk behind the read funnel is placed, and the rear deck and hangar deck was filled with boxes and machinery. The ones unpainted, will be done this weekend. Soon, very soon, the ship will be finished. Hurrah!

Well, I'm installing the guardrails over the oval structures at the sides of the funnels. It's difficult due to the form and location of the parts.
I'm building the boats too and I'll continue to place and paint the myriad of small parts over the decks.

And... the details keen being placed. (I'm sure this sentence is bad spelled but I'm not sure how to do it right)
Some details are painted, some will be done soon: boats, handrails around the oval sections and more. Remember that the box is a machbox one, and the full ship is 26.71 cm lenght and 2.76 cm width

Thanks, elliot!
Still placing small parts. The zone between the catapult and the front funnel, two more boats, some pieces over the upper rear deck... The weird looking pipes at the sides of the front funnel were difficult to do, I recomend to do them before installing the upper deck. But at this scale it really had no problem. The picture were the HMS Belfast is with the DKM Scharnhorst lets us see the diffence in size and shows us that if not by the fog and the british range finder, the end of the encounter would have been very different. Still loving the ship

This weekend was dedicated to finish my 1/700 Uss Constitution, but still I included two more boxes on deck, and four more boats around the rear funnel.
I re checked the general colors of the ship using the Trumpeter 1/350 plastic model manual as a guide. There are differences, mainly because there wasn't a paint guide of the original ship, and the only pictures are black and white and with differences of illumination. But, I corrected small parts of the upper deck railing and some lifesavers colors. I expect to finish the ship by March 2017
