Hello Joe:
The camouflage on the flight deck looks very good.
Also, I like those dramatic views of the stern.

Working the bow and stern. The model leaves a lot to be desired and even though I am building it "Un Fixed" it's still turning into a good looking kit. The ships launch is a disaster by design. I had to lengthen the deck about 3mm ti fit the hull. Then after gluing the deck to the hull had to trim between o to 3 mm of hull side using my exacto blade after gluing. The final product seems OK but unlike all of the BB's i just completed this boat was way off. Odd because those of Kongo, Ise and Fuso were among the cleanest and easiest I ever had to assemble.

This model will require about 85% before applying the deck.

However I am still satisfied with the build.

Joe,

Oh, forgot I think the kit is missing all of the number 90 ammo boxes. It's possible i lost them but think not likely. I went old school and used styrene rod and painted them with the green I mixed from Junyo's build. (was surprised it was still solvent.

My second rate model continues. I decided I will paint the darker green after all. Even if you build the kit as designed as I am you still need to make major upgrades. Shown here, the darker green must be maintained and the model does not provide the required colored plates for several sponsomed parts, hence I need to paint the hull sides too. Still the model is coming together well. For the funnel, I traced the frame and used it for each section. I scored the inside of the paper to provide an edge to bend about, I have used the same technique to good success on the few airplanes wings I have built.
