Hi,

I have made the under-skin. I used 0,5mm cardboard.

Royaloakmin, I made a drawing for you about the inner-skin. First, I make the supports on every frame, then I put each piece into its place. If the supports are done accurately it is very easy to have a great effect.

Hi,

I have covered the hull. Bottom parts didn't fit well but since I am going to paint the model it was not a problem. But before that, I will cover the hull with plates. More comments on the photos.

Hi,

A small update for today. I have painted the model with a base-paint and drilled the places where portholes will be. I have also started cutting out the plates. I will cover the entire hull with them. I am using a semi-adhesive A4 paper for printers.

Hi,

I have made some progress with covering the hull with plates but it is still a long way to go until I finish it.

Thanks to the Zuiho detailed drawings I found out that the stern shape in the model is wrong. Luckily, I was able to fix it. If I discovered it later, I probably, would not be able to fix it in my model. I also added vents and the laser cut deck (on the bow is the one dedicated to the model). I also made some minor adjustments but they are better explained on the photos.

Regards,
Jakub
